I was going to post a blog I wrote yesterday about my interview at Huddersfield University but that is now redundant because I got in! Out of all of the people that applied they narrowed it down to 500 for portfolio viewings and chose me as one of the final 30 based on my work. My Mum actually cried when she found out, bless. Now I just have to get the marks I need!

Sorry this is short but I’m just so excited and wanted to say something :D Besides, I have more important things to think about. For instance I’m on a mission to deep fry as many foodstuffs as I can before I have to leave behind the beloved chip pan. So far deep fried aubergine is awesome. Butternut squash, not so much. Potato in batter is good but you have to time it just right to get it perfect. I think I should have a deep fry-off to find the best food to cover in grease. I really want to try deep fried ice-cream but I don’t have the guts.

Moving.

I hate apology posts but I have to clear this up before I leave this place to rot.

I’ve decided to close this particular website to try to focus on creating a more profession online presence. I’m going to be at University in a couple of months and hopefully I’ll be working to. I’m more than likely be swamped so it just makes sense to close here before it dies. This domain expires in early July of this year. I’ve grown attached to it, but I won’t be renewing it.

I’ll be uploading a “professional” portfolio to In the Midnight Hour in the next few weeks. I’m quite taken with the moniker “In the Midnight Hour” and I think it’s something I could stick with for a while and I wouldn’t mind being known by it professionally. Some resources will be moved to there, but not all. Once I’ve sorted out what’s staying and what’s going I don’t mind passing the leftovers on to someone else, if they’d appreciate it. I think the tutorials will definitely not be staying. I don’t know if I’ll keep a blog. It’s not factored into the design I’ve been working on. Maybe something on a sub-domain? I don’t know, I’m thinking aloud now :D

I’ve started using Facebook now so if anybody would like to please feel free to add me. I’ve decided to start using it more since I’ll be moving soon and don’t want to fall out of touch with people. It’s still rubbish though :razz:
